Welcome to

The Harrisburg River Boat Society

Come join us and discover why the Pride is one of Central Pennsylvania’s most popular and unique destinations!

***Important Cruise Update***

As a result of the pandemic in 2020, the costs of wings and Maryland Blue crabs have skyrocketed. Therefore, so as not to pass on the high costs to our passengers, we will not be offering the Yuengs & Wings and Maryland Blue Crab Feast cruises until further notice. Should these costs come down, we will consider revisiting these cruises.

Thank you for your continued support and we hope to see you onboard for a public or music cruise. Check back on the website and our Facebook page for updates and announcements.

Dinner Cruises, including the Fall Foliage Dinner Cruise and Murder Mystery Dinners, will be scheduled in Mid/late August, so please check back for available dates/times. Check back on the website and our Facebook page for updates and announcements.

A Few Facts About Our Riverboat

The Pride of the Susquehanna Riverboat is an authentic stern-driven paddlewheel riverboat built 32 years ago as a community service project by the Harrisburg Area Riverboat Society to benefit the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania area.

  • The Pride is a replica of the 19th-century riverboats that captured the imagination of the American people and revolutionized river travel and trade in the United States. These riverboats feature prominently in cultural artifacts ranging from the 1939 film Gone With the Wind and Mark Twain’s 1883 famous novel Life on the Mississippi to the landmark 1824 Supreme Court case Gibbons v. Ogden.

  • Interior doors on the Pride are restored from the RMS Queen Mary, a British ocean liner that sailed the North Atlantic in the 20th century.
